Fiske Family Foundation Donates $5,000 to San Diego-Area Youth Recreation and Sports Organizations

Fiske Family Foundation is pleased to announce its latest round of philanthropic donations to support two San Diego-area youth recreation and sports organizations. The Rancho Family YMCA, located in Rancho Penasquitos, and the San Diego Soccer Club, formerly known as PQ Premier, each received $2,500. The funds will be used to help families and youth achieve their recreational goals and create more access to the life and leadership opportunities offered by the organizations’ recreational and sports programing.

“Growing up in Rancho Penasquitos, my father and I were very active in the Rancho Family YMCA camping program, which is now called Adventure Clubs. I was also an avid soccer player and participated in the competitive soccer club, PQ Premier. Having spent many years in my youth engaged in these camping and competitive soccer activities with my family and friends, these experiences made lasting impressions on me and were a transformative part of my adolescent development. I credit these early opportunities with the YMCA and PQ Premier as some of the most influential and memorable recreational experiences in my childhood,” said John Fiske, Founder of Fiske Family Foundation.

Through the Foundation, John and Courtney Fiske have donated more than $140,000 to 12 different recipients since March 2020. Fiske Family Foundation is focused on creating access to recreational and educational opportunities for all.
