FEATURE: Fiske Legal Series

An Education and Networking Series Connecting SDSU Law Professionals and Alumni with Aspiring Law Students

Alongside SDSU’s College of Arts and Letters, John and Courtney Fiske created the Fiske Legal Series to connect attorneys with SDSU students interested in attending law school and joining the legal profession. The Fiske Legal Series provides an intimate and meaningful discussion with attorneys for the benefit of students, many of whom may become first generation law students. The SDSU alumni who participate in the series have excelled in the legal field and bring participants an intimate and insightful perspective to each panel discussion. These discussions aim to provide valuable insights with meaningful, in depth discussions, which are recorded and available on SDSU’s Legal Series website.

The inaugural event “Lawyering Today” took place on Tuesday, April 18th at the Goodall Alumni Center. Guests and SDSU Alumni Jennifer Stone and Rodney Pizarro spent 90 minutes with students, faculty, and alumni, sharing personal, in-depth stories and insights about their undergraduate, law school, and professional journeys. The discussion can be found at the Fiske Legal Series website. John and Courtney Fiske are excited for the next event, which likely will be held in April 2024.
